America: the birthplace of the modern day televangelist prophet.
Despite the availability of the Word of God, the prevalence of churches, preachers, pastors and resources, the Western church rots from the inside. Rather than protect the church, the flock of God, from wolves, the hirelings at the gate, open its doors so that any and all who claim the title “pastor”, “prophet” or “evangelist” are automatically welcomed.Despite the myriad of false prophecies, the false prophets are not just forgiven, but welcomed back with open arms. Despite their blatant twisting and perverting of the Word of God, these teachers and pastors of man's ideas are promoted as being in touch with God's will.
What has happen, or what do they have to do for the church to take note and take a stand against these people? But alas, is it too late? As with Israel, the words of Micah speak volumes in our day, in our countries and of our leaders – religious and political.
And I said, "Hear now, heads of Jacob And rulers of the house of Israel. Is it not for you to know justice? "You who hate good and love evil, Who tear off their skin from them And their flesh from their bones, Who eat the flesh of my people, Strip off their skin from them, Break their bones And chop them up as for the pot and as meat in a kettle." Then they will cry out to the LORD, But He will not answer them. Instead, He will hide His face from them at that time because they have practiced evil deeds.
Thus says the LORD concerning the prophets who lead my people astray; When they have something to bite with their teeth, They cry, "Peace," But against him who puts nothing in their mouths they declare holy war. - Micah 3:1-5On November 5, 2009, Major Nidal Malik Hasan, a military psychologist and Muslim, undertook a shooting rampage resulting in 13 dead and 29 injured.
During world War II it was Nazism that sought to dominate and takeover the world; post World War II it was communism. With the collapse of the Soviet Union and communism, and a look the other way attitude towards the schemes, teachings and prophecies of the conmen in modern Western Christianity, is it any wonder that Islam now seeks to fill the void!
In the aftermath of September 11, political and religious leaders alike touted, “Islam is a religion of peace”, and Islam encountered a surge of interest and converts. Post Fort Hood can we expect the same to happen? Politicians jumping to the defence of Islam and the peace, lauded by Hasan, sought after and embraced?
